For generations, the elemental creatures have freely roamed the plane of Bloomburrow, their very presence bringing seasonal changes and disastrous events which threaten the very lives of the animalfolk who make the valley their home.
As night falls on the valley, an ancient primal force in the darkness beyond begins to stir. None who tread into the darkness beyond the valley ever return. The last thing any of the animalfolk hear is a rustle nearby before facing a green glow beyond the menacing rows of teeth of the apex predator.
Ygra is ever hungry, its appetite endless and never satisfied. Towering tall over the animalfolk of Bloomburrow, Ygra is ever feared above all other calamity beasts. Ygra’s long feared coming has been prophesised by the elders and has been called the season of salt – a time of death and wasting. To the villagers and farmers, this is not just an end of their way of life, but their very existence.
The desolate domain where Ygra prowls and stalks its prey crumbles into pillars of salt as the elemental drought cat moves through the landscape alone with a single purpose and thought – devour. Ygra walks unopposed through its domain and any who dare challenge it end up as food for the terrifying beast, the devourer of all.
